Abstract:Enclosure facilities have been widely applied in the aquaculture industry relying on their unique advantages. The stability of pipe pile is of great importance to the safety of the whole structure. Because of the existence of nets, the force acting on pipe piles is different from that of other offshore structure. In order to investigate the hydrodynamic characteristics of pipe pile with nets, a series of physical model experiments was conducted under focused waves with different peak frequencies and bandwidths. The results show that the focused wave forces on the pipe piles decrease rapidly with the increase of the distance between the pile and the focused point. The focused wave forces on the pipe piles decrease with the increase of the wave frequency and the wave bandwidths. The non-dimensional wave forces around the focused point decrease with the increasing model scale kpD, and significantly increases with the increasing kpA. ? 2019 by the International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE).
