Abstract:7075-T6 aluminum alloy, with relatively low density and high strength, is one of superior lightweight materials. HFQ hot stamping process improves formability and reduces rebound of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy, which greatly expands its application range. In this paper, quasi-static crush experiment and simulation of HAT samples were conducted to research the crush performance of 7075-T6 alloy with HFQ Process. Forming temperature, solution temperature, solution time and artificial aging were chosen to study their influence on crush energy absorption of 7075-T6 alloy. The result shows that energy absorption significantly improves with forming temperature increasing and the best performance appears at 450 degrees C. Energy absorption is preferable under the condition of solution temperature of 475 degrees C for 30min. Compared with natural aging, artificial aging can effectively increase crush energy absorption of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy.
