Dr Yingchun Li joined the Center of Rock Instablity and Seismicity Research (CRISR), School of Civil Engineering, Dalian University of Technology in 2017. Dr Li worked on his doctoral dissertation in the School of Mining Engineering, UNSW Sydney, Australia from 2012.07-2016.12. Prior to his PhD chapter, Dr Li obtained the bachelor degree in engineering in the School of Mines, China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT). His research interests primarily gravitate towards the fundamentals and applications of rock mechanics in coastal engineering, deep underground engineering, and faulting (such as earthquakes and landslides in deep sea). He is persistently unveiling the mechanical and physical behaviour of rocks in multi-scale via experimental, analytical, and numerical approaches. He has published more than 80 journal articles in highly reputable international journals such as Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering, Computers and Geotechnics, Tunelling and Underground Space Technology.
