Biotic and abiotic stress conditions such as pathogens and drought causing diseases and yield lost. The pathogen and plant are in constant interaction effecting each other; while plant is generating resistance against pathogens, the parasites overcomes the strategies developed by host. We are interested in identifying the effectors and their host interacters to elucidate the roles of the genes in disease and resistance mechanisms by following approaches.
Transcriptome analysis for identification of candidate effectors
Identifying pathogenic microRNA, siRNAs by sequencing to assess their roles in controlling host genes during pathogen host interaction
Protein interactions using experimental methods such as Y2H, Co-IP, protein-puld down, Proteome-MS/MS
Gene transfer by novel delivery methods to assess biological functions of GOI
Gene knock out and silencing (CRISPR/Cas9 or VIGS) to assess biological functions of GOI
Bioorthogonal conjugation reactions as a tool to isolate pathogen developed organelles and protein-protein interaction in plants
