Personal Profile

My research interest is focused on the insect cuticle. I study the component and formation process of insect cuticle to find new targets and technologies for pest control, to find new inspiration to design biomaterials, and to develop new biocatalysts for the utilization of biological resources.

I have published more than 60 SCI papers in top journals such as Matter, ACS Nano, Biotechnol. Adv., Cell Rep. Phys. Sci. and J. Agric. Food Chem. with a h-index of 26. I am serving as editorial board members of the SCI journals Curr. Med. Chem., Front. Mol. Biosci and Heliyon. I am currently presiding over projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China (3 items), the sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program (3 items) and Bayer Grants4Ag 2023. I was selected as the Top Young Scholar of National "Ten Thousands Talent Program", the Excellent Talents in University of Liaoning Province and Youth Technology Star of Dalian City. In 2018-2019, I was invited as a visiting professor for one year by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

    Lab of Bio-Molecular Targets

Our lab is estabolished and supervised by Prof. Qing Yang, the winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. The regular members include 3 professors and 1 associate professor. Research interest: Insect is of research importance because of their unpleasant roles in desrupting crops and human disease transmission. Discovery of insect-specific molecular targets is the key scientific issue for the development of novel agrochemicals as well as RNA biopesticides for insect-mediated epidemic disease control and crop protection.
