Dr.-Ing., Associate Professor. Before joining the Dalian University of Technology, I was a Researcher of GWDG (Gesellschaft fuer wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH, Goettingen, Germany, which belongs to the University of Goettingen and MPI), where I also worked as the SDN research group leader, and the assistant lecture of the University of Goettingen. I have received my Dr.-Ing. Degree of Computer Science from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, in 2015. My research interests are in the domain of computer networks, mainly focusing on: performance modeling and analysis of the networked and distributed systems, next-generation data centers, and intelligent network systems. In these research domains, I have published a book and some papers at several top conferences and journals, like Infocom, IWQoS, ITC, ValueTools, Performance Evaluation, etc. I have been working for several important projects in Europe and Germany. For example, I worked as the project leader of GWDG in Celtic-Next/SENDATE, an EU project with more than 70 milion EUR funding. As the main contributor, I also worked for two DFG projects CAFLOTRA and SeNeCa. In addition, I once worked as a software engineer for two years in NEU Software, where I also spent half a year for a business stay at AISIN AW in Nagoya, Japan. Tool session chair MMB & DFT 2012, MIPR 2018 TPC, associative editor of Dagstuhl Seminar 15112 Network Calculus, reviewer of IEEE TPDS and TNSM, Elsevier Computer Networks, INFOCOM, etc. Member of IEEE and EAI.

Research interests:

• In the performance theory part, I put a lot of effort on Network Calculus, a theoretical methodology, because I believe that it can better tradeoff the system exposition and mathematical complexity, such that widen its application scope into the areas like network on chip, IoT, TSN, edge computing, etc.

• For next-generation data center research, I focus on applying SDN and automatic configuration techniques to the network slicing of distributed data centers, such that enabling orchestration of all type resources together.

• In the intelligent network system area, I put the most effort on applying distributed data centers into edge-cloud computing and 5G scenarios. I also interest in associating classical analytical theories with ML/DL such that providing intelligent control in perspectives of "Black-/White-Box".
