Dr. Jianqiang Xu completed his B.Sc. in 2002 and Ph.D. in 2008 at Dalian University of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Qing Yang & Lijia An.

From 2005-04 to 2005-12, he received advanced education and research training as a visiting PhD student at Uppsala Universitet Biomedical Centrum (Sweden) under the supervision of Prof. Jan-Christer Janson. 

Since 200902, he was trained as a postdoctoral research fellow at Karolinska Institutet (MBB, Solna) under the supervision of Prof. Elias S.J. Arnér for almost 6 years in Stockholm, Sweden. 

In 2015-12, he became an Associate Professor of biochemistry at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). 

In 2016-03, he was appointed as Assistant Director of Panjin Institute of Industrial Technology (PIIT), DUT. 

In 2018-01,  he was promoted as Vice Director of Panjin Institute of Industrial Technology (PIIT), DUT.

Currently, Dr. Xu is still active at research in lab and also engaged in journals' reviewing activities.
