摘要: Rapid capture and detection of airborne pathogen are essential for disease prevention and public safety. In this study, we presented a microfluidic system that could capture and enrich airborne pathogens as well as performing high-throughput LAMP analysis. The system was validated by five species of bacteria and showed good stability and specificity. Detection limit down to approximately 24 cells per reaction was achieved for Staphylococcus aureus, and without the process of DNA purification. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report to describe a microfluidic system for airborne pathogen capture and high-throughput LAMP analysis. The results could be detected by the naked eye, suggesting that the system could have great potential application in clinical diagnostics and point-of-care detection.
