Abstract:The recent advances in the synthesis and catalytic oxidation reactions of titanium silicates are reviewed. Titanium silicates are a kind of heteroatomic molecular sieves, in whose framework the Si or Al atoms are substituted by Ti atoms. Titanium silicates exhibit excellent catalytic oxidation performance due to the isolated tetrahedral coordinated Ti. The oxidation system formed by titanium silicalites and H2O2 possesses a good application potential in the low temperature selective oxidation reactions. Titanium silicates with different channel structures have different shape selectivity based on the molecular sizes of substance and product. TS-1, TS-2 and other microporous molecular sieves are the proper catalysts for small molecule reactions (such as epoxidation of propylene), while Ti-SBA-15, Ti-MCM-48 and other mesoporous molecular sieves are the suitable catalysts for large molecule reactions (such as epoxidation of styrene). ©, 2015, Science Press.
