Abstract:Much research has been undertaken to develop a better understanding of both IS implementation problems and how they can be resolved. Yet, much of these studies have focused on narrowly bounded, individual dimensions of this multi-faceted phenomenon. This paper proposes an integrated framework for IS implementation research, which provide a more comprehensive view of IS implementation than previous studies. This framework combines factor research and process research, falls into interpretivism philosophy, and adopts Implementation Path Analysis, a case study technique, as research method. This framework can be used to explain implementation process in organizational context, analyses the organizational impediments to successful IS implementation and understand the dynamic of implementation process.
