摘要:Premixed compression ignition engine has low PM and NOx emissions and high thermal efficiency. However, reliable control of the ignition timing is still a main hurdle to practical use.Jet controlled compression ignition(JCCI)gives a more reliable and robust ignition timing control of the main combustion chamber by hot jet issued from the ignition chamber.Experimental research on JCCI operation process was performed on a modified heavy duty(HD)engine.The principle of ignition timing control by JCCI was verified, and effects of ignition chamber spark timing, intake temperature and EGR rate on the ignition timing were investigated.The results show that the main combustion chamber ignition timing is controlled directly by the ignition chamber spark timing, and the CA10 phase changes by only 2�� CA with constant spark timing when intake temperatures change from 60 to 80.The ignition timing control of JCCI is robust.EGR rate addition reduces the combustion velocity and combustion noise of JCCI, but leads to thermal efficiency loss and rate increase of HC and CO emissions. ? 2019, Editorial Office of the Transaction of CSICE.
