Abstract:Spare parts supplier evaluation is one of the most important problems of SCM (Supplier Chain Management), but few work devoted to this problem has been done for years because of its complexity. In this paper, we present a new method to solve the problem of spare parts supplier selection. This method includes following two steps. (a) First from the view of material supply, we divide spare parts into several categories based on the reliability centered maintenance (RCM) and fuzzy artificial neural network (FANN). (b) Then to every category of spare parts, different analytic hierarchy process (AHP) judgment matrices are formed and AHP method is adopted to evaluate spare parts suppliers. It is proved that this method not only can consider supply attributes of spare parts as much of as possible, but also is simple and practical. It is easy to be implemented by maintenance managers.
