Abstract: TS-1 zeolite samples were modified with H2O, and the effect of the modification conditions (temperature, time and the amount of H2O) on the catalytic properties in the ammoxidation of methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) were investigated. The TS-1 samples before and after the modification were characterized by TEM, SEM, UV-Vis, XRD, IR and N2 adsorption. The results showed that the framework of TS-1 was not changed obviously after modified with H2O, but both their adsorption isotherms and pore distribution had some difference. After the modification with H2O, the catalytic properties of TS-1 in the ammoxidation of MEK were improved greatly. The optimal modification conditions were as follows: 30 mol H2O/(100 g TS-1), modification temperature 170°C, modification time 48 h.
