Abstract: Seeing red: DEAB-TO-3 shows a large fluorescence enhancement upon binding to native DNA and a distinct selectivity for double-stranded DNA over total RNA. As a red fluorescent live-cell-permeant DNA minor groove binder, DEAB-TO-3 is promising for highly sensitive DNA detection in vitro and nucleus-specific imaging and DNA quantification in vivo (see picture).
