Abstract:The active structural acoustic control (ASAC) has been proved to be an efficient practical approach to reduce structure-borne sound. And a new approach of reducing structural sound radiation based on the eigenstructure assignment using the receptance method in multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) systems is proposed in this research. The approach utilizes the remarkable advantage of receptance method in active vibration control that there is no need to know the mass, damping and stiffness matrices, so it avoids the model errors, furthermore, measurement of receptance may be generalized in practical experimentation. Also the controlled modal sound radiation is minimized with the assignment of eigenstructure. Some numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed approach. ? 2017 Institute of Noise Control Engineering. All rights reserved.
