Abstract: This article focuses on the study of the mechanical properties of the reinforced concrete columns with different specifications under different loading rates. The dynamic properties of the reinforced concrete column under bidirectional loading conditions are investigated as well. The initial stiffness, stiffness degradation, strength degradation, ductility, ultimate resistance capacity, yield resistance capacity, energy absorption and damage of members are analyzed according to experimental results. Based on the above analyses, some significant conclusions are obtained for engineering practice.
