Abstract:In the paper, the genetic algorithm written by C language optimizes sectional dimensions of bridge crane girder and gets the best five design variables including the girder webs height, thickness of left and right web, thickness of upper and lower flange plate and width of upper and lower flange plate. Consequently, APDL program quickly verifies the feasibility of the design. The paper provides lightweight of bridge crane girder design with a method.
