Elaborate simulation of the interaction between flow and net cage

Abstract:A precise numerical model is developed to analyze the interaction between the net cage and the flow. The k-omega SST model is applied to simulate the flow field around the net cage, and the large deformation nonlinear structure model is selected to simulate the flexible net cage structure. To validate the net-fluid interaction model, a series of physical model tests are conducted. The results indicate the numerical model can accurate simulate the flow field around and through the net mesh and the deformation of net cage.
