Abstract: In this paper, we compared the contribution factors to economic growth of Chinese construction industry: inputs of capital, labour input (human capital stock) and total factor productivity. We use state space model to estimate the total factor productivity. The results showed that growth of capital input is the key point of economic growth of Chinese construction industry and the labour input has a relatively smaller contribution. There is an irregular movement of total factor productivity of Chinese construction industry and annual average growth rate of TFP is 1.68%. The mode of construction economic growth is heading in the direction of the intensification.
