Abstract:Two hexanuclear complexes of formula [Fe-III(Tp*)(CN)(3)](4)[Fe-II(tptz)](2) (1), [Fe-III(Tp*)(CN)(3)](4)[Co-II(tptz)](2) (2) [Tp* = hydridotris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borate, tptz = (2,4,6-tris-(2-pyridyl)1,3,5-triazine] have been synthesized via directional assembly of metallocyanate precursor and metal cationic ions. The magnetic properties characterization indicate that ferromagnetic interactions dominate in the two complexes, resulting in a spin ground state of S = 5 and S = 6, respectively.
