Abstract: With the increasing deployment of wireless sensor networks(WSNs), real-time applications in WSNs make it necessary to provide the guaranteed quality of service(QoS). As a result, performance analysis of wireless sensor networks have become increasingly important. In this paper, we consider the dynamic characteristic of WSNs, a performance evaluation model using stochastic network calculus(SNC) is proposed to guarantee stochastic service. By combining stochastic network calculus with max-plus and time-domain, our performance evaluation model is not only used to deal with queuing type problem, but also extended to aggregate scheduling networks to support perflow service. The numerical results demonstrate this model is scalable and can provide a precision delay and backlog upperbound of tandem nodes or single-node. Our model contributes to guaranteeing QoS support and configuring buffer dimensioning.
